The beauty that the darkness brings,
When the darkness outside creeps within.
The fog obscures,
The thoughts endure,
The friends that walk beside you cannot reach you.
Embrace you but you cannot feel the touch.
Unknown that lurks without,
Traps within.

Morning comes,
Sunlight glimmers,
Warmth radiates through the frozen soul.
With the daylight, awakening.
Day to day returns
And you wonder, “Were you really there?”
